How to prepare LAT Urdu
- Revise from your matric and intermediate Urdu grammar book.
- Make a table of poets and their books; it is quick to revise.
- Practise questions in Urdu script, not in Roman Urdu, because the paper uses the script.
Common mistakes
- Assuming Urdu needs no preparation because it is your own language.
- Confusing Arabic plurals (ustad–asatiza, sher–ashaar).
- Ignoring literature questions.
From practice to a full test
Work in this order: a topic practice set, then a Urdu subject test, then a full LAT mock test to see how the subject holds up under real timing. Your result page lists the Urdu topics where you lost marks and links you back to the right section of this guide.
